My name is Dave. This is my web site. It is sometimes my portfolio site, but I have a job and I'm not currently looking for any more freelance work.

I'm a web designer/developer living near Toledo, Ohio. I do front-end visual design, layout and scripting, as well as some back-end coding and Flash applications. Professionally, I'm interested in advanced CSS, web semantics, and usability. At some point I turned into a Flash developer too, so I've got that going for me (which is nice).

Also important are photography, travel, cooking, eating, reading, writing, tea, coffee, and music.

Q. I happen to know you live in Michigan. Why don't you call yourself “Michigan Dave”?

A. Three reasons:

  1. “Ohio Dave” was my nickname in college (in New York State).
  2. Also “Michigan Dave” is too long.
  3. Also, shut up.
Q. Why do people call you “Boss Rage”?

A. See reason #3 above.
